If Virat is found guilty then…
Match referee Andy Pycroft will definitely investigate this incident. The ICC’s Code of Conduct states that “any form of inappropriate physical contact is prohibited in cricket. Without limitation, players will be in breach of this regulation if they intentionally, recklessly and/or negligently collide with or run into or shoulder-bump another player or umpire.” If Pycroft feels that the Konstas-Kohli contact is a Level 2 offence against any player, that player will receive three or four demerit points.
Virat Kohli may also be suspended from the Sydney Test
If 4 points are given, Virat Kohli will be suspended from the Sydney Test to be played on New Year. If Virat is found guilty of Level 1, he may be fined his match fee.
