A TB video of Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma has surfaced online. Director Karan Johar admitted that at first, Karan rejected both the stars based on their looks.
A throwback video of Karan from his show Koffee with Karan is going viral online. In the video, he confesses that he rejected Ranveer and Anushka when they were beginning their career in the Industry. He told how he has even told Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra not to take Ranveer as an actor or change the film poster. But, Aditya refused to do so as well as showed him the movie trailer of Band Baaja Baraat.
In the small clip, we can see Karan saying to Anushka,
‘I want to tell you a true story. I saw your audition, and I said you couldn’t take this girl. After which Anushka was quite hurt.
Recalling the incident, he also said the first time he saw actor Ranveer. He said that
‘I was sitting with Aditya Chopra and Yash Chacha. He said that among them is the actor of ‘Band Baaja Baaraat.’ I said, who is it? He then pointed to Ranveer, and I said, ‘He’s in Band Baaja Baaraat?’ After that, I also saw the poster of Band Baaja Baaraat and was told to change the poster. I saw the promo, and I said that this guy has confidence, but it’s not showing up in the poster. So change this poster.
