Syed Ahmed Shah is in Germany working as a pizza delivery boy to meet his financial needs. He works for Lieferando delivery service as per the local newspaper of Leipziger.

Back in 2017, he was a cabinet minister under the leadership of the former president of Afghanistan. Syed Ahmad Shah Saadat did remarkable work to improve connectivity and internet services during his tenure.
His major project was the fiber-optic network that aimed to offer affordable internet services and increase internet penetration in the country.

World Bank funded the project but it remained incomplete due to the internet dispute between the government and Syed. He resigned from his post in 2020 and moved to Germany.
