The Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan that was pledged by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was to keep the country and surroundings clean. The government bodies are the ones that should set an example by being careful about the cleanliness.
But according to the news covered by Times Of India, a video went viral where a BMC truck is seen trashing out the waste in the water body. The incident took place near Thane’s district Bhiwandi where a man captured the whole incidence in his phone.

After the video went viral, Shelar Gram Panchayat reported the issue and sent a notice to one of the sanitation workers.

Sunil Channe was the man behind the embarrassing and irresponsible action and was then asked to explain it to the higher authorities.
When people started accusing BMC of the irresponsible act, a tweet from BMC’s official account was posted clarifying that they were no responsibility for this shame as the vehicle did not belong to them.

The authorities and people should be more responsible as these ignored activities might deteriorate Mumbai’s condition, even more, resulting in the choking of the sewage lines.
