Veteran Marathi actor Ramesh Bhatkar passes away from cancer

Popular Veteran Marathi film star and stage artist Ramesh Bhatkar died at the age of 70 in Mumbai today.

The popular actor was suffering from cancer. He was the companion of Bombay HC judge Mridula Bhaskar.

The actor was popularly for his role in TV series ‘Commander’ and ‘Hello Inspector.’

Soon after his death, artist Anupam Kher posted a message on Twitter, remembering Bhatkar. He wrote, “Really saddened to know about the untimely demise of veteran actor #RameshBhatkar. I had the opportunity to meet him briefly on the sets of #TheAccidentalPrimeMinister. May God rest his soul in peace and give his family the courage to deal with the loss.”

Actress Sonali Kulkarni too took to Twitter and posted about the actor. She wrote, “Such a warm person…handsome actor.. and people’s man…RIP Ramesh Bhatkar. I have always missed your gappa, invite and now – forever..! Strength to Mrudula ma’am #RIP #RameshBhatkar.”
