Mining sector giant Vedanta Limited has made tremendous profits in the September quarter of the current financial year. Vedanta has made a profit of Rs 5603 crore in the July-September 2024 quarter. Vedanta had a loss of Rs 915 crore in the same period a year ago. Vedanta shares closed down at Rs 456 on NSE on Friday. Vedanta Limited shares have seen a jump of more than 92 percent in the last one year.

The company’s revenue has decreased by 4 percent as compared to the September quarter of last year. The company’s revenue was Rs 38,546 crore in the September quarter of last year. In the September 2024 quarter, Vedanta Limited’s EBITDA was Rs 9828 crore, while the margin was 26.1 percent. During the quarter, the company’s liquidity saw a 30 percent improvement on an annual basis. The company’s cash and cash equivalent stood at Rs 21,727 crore. At the same time, at the end of the second quarter of the current financial year, the company’s net debt came down to Rs 56,927 crore.
