Indian-Origin lawyer Nabanita Nag was fired from Norfolk Southern, a US-based railroad firm over her consensual relationship with the company CEO Alan Shaw.
She is in the position of Chief Legal Officer at the Atlanta-based company after an investigation, she was fired from her position and CEO Alan Shaw was also fired on Wednesday.
The relationship was consensual but they both broke the policies of the company and code of ethics by engaging in a relationship, Norfolk Southern Corporation said.
The company CEO Shaw came to light after he survived the controversial battle with Hedge Fund company Ancora Holdings, which resulted in three new directors being elected into the company’s 13-member board.
Now the company’s Lawyers are discussing the the exit plan for Shaw, including his exit package and severance too.
