UPI123Pay limit increased
From January 1, 2025, RBI has increased the transaction limit for UPI123Pay users. Now through UPI123Pay, users will be able to pay up to Rs 10,000 per day, which was earlier Rs 5000. However, the transaction limit for smartphone apps like PhonePe, Paytm, and Google Pay will remain the same, in which users can transact up to one lakh rupees per day and there is also a facility to pay up to five lakh rupees if needed.
UPI Circle feature allows you to make payments even without a bank account
UPI Circle feature was launched in 2024 and will be available on all UPI supported platforms from 2025. This feature allows the primary user to include a friend or family member, so that the secondary user can make payments even without a bank account. The primary user has to decide how much money he is allowing the other user to spend.
UPI Circle will work in two options
- Full Delegation: In this, the secondary user gets permission to start the transaction till its completion.
- Partial Delegation: The secondary user can only start the transaction, while the primary user has to complete it.
