Tech Reports: As Samsung achieved its goal, so will Google. The internet search giant is allegedly working on creating a flexible screen device that could potentially be its future foldable phone.
Google’s latest patent application shows an interest in the company’s creation of building a device that hints at ‘fold’ technology. As seen by Patently Mobile, Google’s patent describes a device with an OLED display that folds inwards.
The patent moreover talks about the possibility of a folding device that can fold at two different places in a Z-fold pattern with the help of several embedded layers.
It should be noted that the patent links the foldable screen technology to a ‘computing device’, not specifically a smartphone. Apart from this, as it is a patent, whether or not Google can opt to convert it into a commercial product.
