UAE Weekend Change News: Working Hours Cut To 4.5 Days A Week

First in the world, any country has cut down the working hours for employees by four and a half-day per week. The new rule also includes the new weekends with different timings for Monday to Thursday and Friday. Timings will be flexible and employees will get the option of working from home.

Guess which country has marked this new beginning? It’s not America!

The United Arab Emirates has brought this new proposal which is a part of the national working week or UAE Weekend change. All the Government bodies should follow the new working hours as it is made mandatory from 2022. The employees will also get Saturday and Sunday weeks off as common in most of the countries.

UAE is the first gulf country with fewer working hours that start from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm for Monday to Thursday. Timings for Friday will be 7:30 am to 12 pm so that employees can begin prayers from 1:15 pm.

This is to improve the work-life balance that will help UAE to align with countries that follow Saturday/Sunday weekend. UAE weekend change will not only benefit the country in the financial sector but also offer a better workplace and corporate lifestyle to the citizens.
