On Muzaffarnagar-Saharanpur State Highway, Uttar Pradesh, a major road accident occurred on Wednesday late night. Around 11 pm, 6 migrant workers were trampled by a bus.
All these workers were returning to Bihar on foot from Punjab. In this accident, 6 workers died on the spot, while the rest are severely injured. They have been admitted to Meerut Medical Hospital.

Yogi government announced compensation,
UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakh each to the families of the deceased workers on the Muzaffarnagar-Saharanpur highway. Apart from this, the injured will also be given a compensation of Rs 50,000.

On getting information about the incident, there was a stir in the police station, the police reached the spot and took the dead bodies. Also, the injured laborers have been brought to the district hospital and admitted.

According to the police, the deceased laborers are residents of Gopalganj district of Bihar.
