A new financial year is around the edge. It has brought in two major players i.e. Maruti and Toyota to drop in new or I should say cooler versions of their preexisting cars Baleno and Glanza. The facelift of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno came early on 23rd February 2022 and is receiving good feedback.
Although, New Baleno looks similar to something we had 6 years ago from Baleno. But, that’s just the skin – a lot has changed from material of exterior to tech. Now we are getting the news that a cooler version of Toyota Glanza is expected to hit the Indian market from 15th March 2022.
Baleno and Glanza, both have been popular choices for Indian customers. Let’s see what New Glanza has to offer and what’s the expected price. Since we know or we have been seeing is we get similar-looking cars with the same engine and suspension setup and even tech.
But did you know what exactly was different except logos and badging? It’s the availability of variants. Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes with many variants to fit the need of many, whereas the Top few models become Glanza (Haha)!

As Toyota said – Something new is hatchin’. We can expect much cooler, connected car features. Toyota has released a Teaser with a similar front; which speaks for itself that it’s gonna be the same as Baleno. Same skin but all changed inside out.
Awesome in Teaser reflects that the car would be a good combination of Thrill, Torque and Comfort.

Youth on the poster and Connected in Teaser – speak out loud it’s gonna have all the smart tech (Big Touch Screen for Entertainment and Navigation, Voice Assistant, Good quality speaker, 360 degree Camera and Projector headlights etc).
We are expecting similar 90 house power, 1.2 L Petrol Engine as the New Baleno 2022.
Although, Maruti and Toyota are confusing people by giving them similar looking Hatchbacks and in the same price bracket with similar engine and feature options. We have been seeing Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Glanza as an example. Not just that in the mid-size SUV section too Maruti’s – Brezza and Toyota’s – Urban Cruiser are competitors.
