This Is How a Woman Reveals Engagement News To Her Quarantined Grandfather

Caryl Boyd and Trevor Sellers recently got engaged!

A 21-Year-old bride was so excited to share the news with her family. But there was one special person she couldn’t show her new ring to. Boyd’s 87-years old Grandpa Shelton mahala resides in a nursing home, which is not currently allowing visitors due to the pandemic. So Boyd decided to get creative.

With the help of the facility’s staff, she arranged to have his blinds pulled so she could see him through the window.

I pointed to my ring and he realized I was engaged,” She told GMA. 

“We both said we love each other and it was just a really emotional moment,” she added.

“When people think about going out and having a good time this weekend, I hope they realize that others are sacrificing very personal relationships and the social well-being of loved ones to keep everyone safe,” Boyd said.

“So glad I was allowed to see my grandfather, even under the circumstances of this virus I was still able to tell him I am engaged!!” Boyd wrote on Facebook. “Thank you premier living staff!!”
