Our favorite action hero, wrestler-turned-Hollywood megastar Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson officially retired from wrestling.
Talking in a chat show, he said that he ‘quitely retired’ from wrestling, but at the same time, he did not rule out the possibility of a comeback.
Speaking with Kelly and Ryan Live in a chat show in States, he said:
“I miss wrestling. I love wrestling. I quietly retired from wrestling because I was lucky enough to have a wonderful career and accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. But there’s nothing like a live crowd, live audience, live microphone.”
Dwayne’s last official match was back in 2016, at WrestleMania 32, where he defeated Eric Rowan of Wyatt family.
The 47-year-old megastar was named the highest-paid actor of 2019. Last week when he was busy promoting his new movie ‘Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw.’
His net worth was estimated to an appalling $124 million!
When asked about his debut match at the famous Madison Square Garden in the Survivor Series in 1997, he said:
“I had my very first match in the WWE in Madison Square Garden. It was a big pay-per-view and it’s funny because I credit my journey in pro wrestling to getting me to where I am today — especially that particular night.”
None of his achievements can parallel to the fact that he is, indeed one of the most hardworking and humble people working in the industry!
We’ll miss you in the ring, The Rock!
