AB de Villiers had a great time with Royal Challengers Bangalore and played for almost 10 seasons as a part of it. The RCB family shares a strong bond with him and he feels the same. While announcing the retirement, he said “I’m going to be an RCBian for life.”

He began his IPL career in 2008 with Delhi Daredevils and gave his best performance during the 3 seasons he played for the team.

Virat Kohli who recently resigned as an RCB captain remembers his good time with Villiers. “Our bond is beyond the game and will always be. This hurts my heart but I know you’ve made the best decision for yourself and your family as you’ve always done,” said Kohli on Twitter with two broken-heart emojis.

Former cricketer Irrfan Pathan thanked the player to make cricket more beautiful but he sounds unhappy with his retirement.
