Tata SUV: Mahindra created an unbreakable record with the new Thar Rocks! As we know, the brand recently started booking India’s most awaited SUV. After which, the brand received bookings of 1.76 lakh units in just one hour! Now although this confirms people’s love for the Thar Rocks, it will be interesting to see what the waiting period of the SUV could be! However, if you don’t want to wait too long for the delivery of your car, Tata is planning to launch an off-road SUV which could be a better alternative to the Thar Rocks!
Tata will bring off-roading Tata SUV
According to media reports, Tata Motors is preparing to bring a Tata SUV with off-roading capability after a long time. According to the information, the company is planning to bring an AWD version of its flagship SUV Tata Harrier.
When will the SUV be launched?
Well, it is being said that Tata may launch the Harrier EV in January 2025. And unlike the Thar Rocks, we don’t really expect a long waiting period for the Tata SUV. However, the Harrier EV will be one of the luxury products from Tata Motors. It will be as feature-loaded as it is today, but for an EV, we expect some extraordinary features to be added.
Also, the Harrier EV is expected to be one of the most powerful SUVs in the market. We don’t have official figures, but expect the EV to have a 55 kWh to 70 kWh battery pack. Along with the bigger battery pack, we are expecting the brand to offer an electric motor that produces 200 bhp of power! And being an EV, it will accelerate to 100 kmph pretty quickly!
Who will it compete with
If Tata brings the Harrier EV with AWD capability, it will directly compete with the Mahindra Thar in the market. In the current portfolio, Tata offers Punch, Nexon, Curve, Harrier and Safari in the SUV segment. But no SUV has been brought with off-roading AWD capability.
