Tata Nexon CNG: Tata Motors is all set to take its Nexon lineup a step further with the addition of some new exciting additions that will grab everyone’s attention. After the recent facelift, Tata has now introduced a CNG variant of its popular subcompact SUV – the Nexon in the Indian market. The Tata Nexon ICNG has been launched at a starting price of Rs 8.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
But that’s not all – the updated Nexon also gets changes in the EV version and the Dark variant. The company has introduced updates for the Nexon EV with a longer range. Talking about the Red Dark edition, it is an extension of the existing Dark variant.
Tata Nexon CNG: Features and Boot Space
Apart from this, the compact SUV uses Tata Motors’ dual-cylinder technology for a practical boot space of 321 litres. Like the Punch ICNG, the spare has now been moved under the body. This SUV comes with 6 airbags, ESP and many other features as standard. With the arrival of the CNG variant, the Nexon also gets a larger panoramic sunroof and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster with navigation display. Also, a total of 8 variants will be available.
Tata Nexon CNG: Variants
The Tata Nexon CNG has been launched in eight variants namely Smart (O), Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+ and Fearless+ S. It is now available in petrol, diesel, EV and CNG powertrains.
Tata Nexon Red Dark Edition:
In terms of design, the new Red Dark variant will stand out. Tata has already seen great success with its Dark Edition in models like Harrier and Safari. The Nexon now also gets this extension of the Dark Edition for a more attractive look with updated interiors.

- The Smart (O) is priced at Rs 8.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
- The Smart+ is priced at Rs 9.69 lakh, ex-showroom.
- The Smart+ S is priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
- The Pure is priced at Rs 10.69 lakh, ex-showroom.
- Pure S ex-showroom price – Rs 10.99 lakh.

Tata Nexon CNG: Powertrain
The Tata Nexon CNG has a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine. This engine generates power of 99 bhp and peak output of 170 Nm. In which it is mated to a six-speed prototype architecture. The company has released its innovative Twin C NGL tanker. In which Nexon C Network has been launched and it has a boot space of 321 liters.
Tata Nexon EV: What has been updated?
The Nexon EV has also been updated with a new larger 45 kWh battery pack that will now offer a range of 489 km (claimed), while the real-world range will be in the range of 350-370 km. It is priced at ₹ 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom.
