Indore has successfully bagged the first position in being the cleanest city in India. Indore has retained its position for the fourth consecutive time.
Swachh Survekshan 2020, was the country’s fifth cleanliness survey of the country. Gujarat’s Surat has bagged the second position and Navi Mumbai third.
Maharashtra’s Karad has bagged the first spot in the category of having a population less than 1 lakh.
Punjab’s Jalandhar has been announced as the cleanest cantonment. A total of 129 cities participated in the virtual ‘Swachh Mahotsav’. The awards were given by Minister of Civil Aviation of India Hardeep Singh Puri in the virtual program.
The first time when this survey was conducted Mysore bagged the first position.
