The makers of director Siva’s Suriya-starrer Kanguva released a new poster of the film, confirming its 2024 release. Suriya surprised his fans on Sunday by sharing a new poster of his upcoming film Kanguva with director Siva. He has confirmed that he will play a double role in the film by sharing the poster on Instagram. Fans reacted to the new poster by dropping fire emojis.

In the poster, we can see Surya in two different avatars. This is the look everyone has seen, the one with dreadlocks, wearing warrior attire, tattoos all over his body and holding a sword in his hand. In the second, he is seen wearing an attractive hairstyle, suit and holding a gun in his hand. Both the avatars are seen face to face in the poster. The new poster confirms that Kangwa will release in 2024, without revealing the release date. While sharing this, he wrote in many languages, “Happy Ambedkar Jayanti.”
About Kanguva
Kanguva is the Kollywood debut film of Disha Patani and Bobby Deol. Devi Sri Prasad composed the film’s music while Vetri Palanisani handled the cinematography. Studio Green and UV Creations manage the film. The filmmakers recently released a sizzle reel which revealed that the film will be full of action and drama.
In the video, Surya is seen as a ferocious warrior who leads the army into battle. In the teaser, she has long hair and her look is rustic. It also gave a peak to the character of Bobby playing the role of a dangerous antagonist. According to the producers, “Kanguwa will be raw, rustic and will provide a new visual experience to the audience. Human emotions, powerful performances, and large-scale never-before-seen action sequences will be the core of the film.” This film will be released in 3D in 10 different languages.
Suriya will soon do a cameo in Akshay Kumar starrer Sudha Kongara’s Sarfira, which is a remake of the 2020 Tamil film Soorarai Pottru. Lokesh Kanagaraj also revealed that he will be making a spin-off based on Suriya’s character Rolex in Kamal Haasan’s Vikram.
