Supreme Court: Final Year Students Will Not Be Promoted Without Exams

Supreme Court

The Supreme Court has given its final verdict on students studying in universities. Considering the pandemic conditions the first and second-year sudents were given a general promotion but final year students will not be permitted without examinations.

Supreme Court said that the States can postpone the exams under ‘Disaster Management Act’ but not cancel the exams and give direct promotion to the students.

The states and universities will have to hold exams to promote children and confer degrees to the students. Supreme Court also said that states should approach UGC and seek some relief regarding the examinations.
