Supreme Court: Supreme Court will hear against the bail of BJP leader, the case is related to corruption

BJP: MLA Madal Virupakshappa Soaps and Detergents (KSDL) has been implicated in the bribery scam.

The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday granted interim anticipatory bail to Madal Virupakshappa on a surety of Rs five lakh and one surety.

At the same time and  day , the Supreme Court has agreed on Tuesday to hear the Karnataka Lokayukta’s petition against the MLA’s bail.

Under the Chairmanship Of Chief Justice Chandrachud (BJP)

A request is being made to list the petition immediately before the bench headed by Chief Justice Chandrachud.  When the counsel requested that the matter be listed at the earliest, the CJI said that since the Chief Justice’s court was hearing the matter for a constitution bench, it would not be possible for  bench to hear it.

Chief Justice Chandrachud said that you can mention the matter before a bench headed and by Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul.  The matter is being heard before a constitution bench, otherwise we will take it up at the end of the board, the lawyer said,hearing the matter CJI Chandrachud said that it is okay. The lawyer hastily reached the bench headed by Justice Kaul and asked for urgent listing of the petition.

Lokayukta Officers Arrested Him While Taking Bribe

In this case, Prashant Kumar MV, son of BJP MLA Virupakshappa, was caught by the Lokayukta (BJP) officials allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 40 lakh from a contractor in the KSDL office.

In the raid that followed, Rs 8.23 ​​crore in cash, gold and silver ornaments and land papers were recovered from the house of the Madal family.  The (BJP)MLA’s son Prashant is a Karnataka Higher Administrative Service officer.  He works as the Chief Accounts Officer of the Bengaluru Water Supply and Sewerage Board.
