summer Olympics 2020: On Sunday, teen shooting genius Saurabh Chaudhary created a world record by winning gold in the men’s 10m air pistol final International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup.

With this achievement, he secured India’s third Tokyo Olympics quota.

The Gold medallist in Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, and Youth Olympic Games, Chaudhary set down a total of 245.0, dominating Damir Mikec with a point difference of 5.7.

The Serbian star finished with 239.3 to win Silver and Second Olympics quota place in this competition. In the meantime, Commonwealth Games and Youth Olympic gold medallist Manu Bhakare retained her fifth position in the women’s 25-meter Pistol event.

Manu Bhaker was performing well but managed to score 22 points in the final after qualifying with an impressive 590.

Rahi Sarnobat, Asian Games gold medallist missed out on the final after finishing with a total of 580.

In men’s 50-meter Rifle 3 Positions, Sanjeev Rajput and Parul Kumar couldn’t go beyond qualification. Parul was at 22nd with 1170 points, while Rajput with 1169 points at 25th place.
