For nearly seven days, there have been violent clashes in Sudan between the country’s army and a paramilitary group over the proposed timeline for handing power to a civilian government.

Since the intense fight erupted in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, more than 300 people, including an Indian national, have been killed.

This conflict is a direct result of the power struggle within the country’s military leadership. The clashes are happening between Sudan’s regular army and a paramilitary force called the Rapid Support Forces (RSF)
