Pulwama Attack: Ajay Devgn stands by the decision to ban Pakistani artistes


Talking at a media communication on Monday, Ajay Devgn mentioned the cast of ‘Total Dhamaal’ stays with the decision of All Indian Cine Workers Association.

When inquired about the banning of all artistes from Pakistan in Bollywood, the actor, says, “We stand by the decisions taken by the Cine association.”

The actor further informed that ‘Total Dhamaal’ will not be released in Pakistan theatres following the Pulwama terror attack. The actor said, “We have done what we can and under the circumstances, we have decided not to release the film in Pakistan.”

Remarkably, the actor was one of the first to criticize the Pulwama attacks, tweeting, “Horrible and disgusting. Anger can’t be put into words. #KashmirTerrorAttack.”

Responding to an inquiry whether the film will be able to relieve the mood during this uneasy situation in India, the actor significantly added that while people are in a serious mood and doing all that one can to protect the soldiers and country, “If the film helps people smile for a bit then that is a good thing.”

The film is Directed by Indra Kumar, ‘Total Dhamaal’, will hit theatres on February 22, and features a chorus cast of Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey, Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor.
