Spotify in talks to get Gimlet Media for $200 million

Spotify’s dream of moving into podcasting business is ready to take shape with the big buck purchase of Gimlet Media, the podcasting giant, for over a massive USD 200 million.

As per Recode, Spotify is in advanced talks to get the startup behind famous shows like reply All.
This move would be the intial for the music streaming company and also among the biggest acquisitions in the nascent podcasting industry.

This deal will assist the two different companies in offering leverage to Spotify’s 200 million users, who are once consuming audio from the service, to get access to newer content from Gimlet which makes shows and is constantly moving into television production.
