Team India's star finisher Rinku Singh has fallen prey to a massive cybercriminal conspiracy. Unknown hackers have breached his official Facebook account, which has 1.6 million followers.
Rinku Singh is currently busy representing the Indian team in the T20 World Cup, and in the meantime, hackers have taken control of his hard-earned savings and digital identity.
Login Credentials Compromised: Hackers Changed Original Email ID
Initial investigations by the Cyber Cell have revealed that hackers have compromised Rinku Singh's account and changed his original login email ID. Previously, the account was operated under the ID "RinkuKumar344.8.7," which the hackers have now changed to "commercial.rinkukumar." This change has completely taken control of Rinku's team.
Financial Breach: Hackers Illegal Seizure of Monetization Funds
This case is not limited to account hacking, but also involves a major financial fraud. Rinku Singh's Facebook page was monetized. Hackers are now illegally siphoning advertising and other revenue from this account.
Hackers have also tampered with payment settings to transfer funds to their own accounts.
Threat to Brand Value: Suspicious Content Being Shared from Profile
Since the hack, numerous videos and photos have been uploaded from Rinku Singh's official page that contradict his public image and brand value.
These posts have left millions of his fans confused. Those close to Rinku say that these posts were not made by Rinku or his social media team.
Police action: Cyber cell activated on the instructions of SSP Aligarh
As soon as the fraud was discovered,Rinku Singh personally called Aligarh SSP Neeraj Kumar Jadaun and informed him about the situation. Immediately afterward, Rinku's brother Sonu Singh filed a formal complaint at the cyber police station.
An FIR has been registered on the SSP's orders, and the police technical team is now coordinating with Meta's security officials to recover the account.
