Slack launches encryption keys for better user control


Slack has declared that it is launching Enterprise Key Management (EKM), a new device that allows customers to control their encryption keys in the enterprise edition of the app.

As per the latest technology news, the new app pointed out at customers in regulated industries, which may require more control over security.

The keys are managed in AWS KMS key management tool. The new tool gives more control over those keys, which Slack uses for the encryption of messages and files being shared inside the slack app.

With tools, customers can gain greater visibility into the activity within the slack through the Audit Logs API. the logs allow customers to quickly find out about risks and discrepancies immediately, and if any suspicious activity occurs, they are cut.

EKM for Slack is available for Enterprise Grid Customers at an additional charge today.
