As the whole world fights with the Coronavirus pandemic, the Singapore Government has taken another big decision. The Government has decided to give up to 75 per cent of the wages of all permanent resident and Singaporean workers for the month of April. Heng Swee Keat, a Deputy Prime Minister said Parliament on Monday that first payout and also paid to workers under the enhanced job support this month. It is the third scheme that prevents jobs and businesses from the fallout of this deadly virus.

The amount of wage is 4,600 Singapore dollars that paid to more than 1.9 million permanent resident employees and Singaporeans.
Heng said, many workplaces are closed and some operate with a few employees in the coming weeks. It is because lockdown announced by Prime Minister Last Friday.

Most workplaces excluding those in key economic sectors and providing essential services will be closed for 30 days. It will start from Tuesday to break the deadly Coronavirus chain. But companies still pay and retain their workers.
