Siddhartha Chillal, India’s octogenarian (one who is between the age of eighty and eighty-nine), having the longest fingernails in the world with a long nail distance of more than 9 meters, has finally cut down his nails. The 82-year-old Guinness World Record holder, who raised nails on his left hand for more than 66 years. Yesterday, in a nail clipping ceremony, Mr. Chillal finally cut off his nails. He was sent from Pune to New York for this ceremony by Ripley’s Believe It or Not Museum – where his nails will be made famous.
It has been estimated that the combined length of nails is 909.6 centimeters. Chillal’s longest single nail is his thumbnail, which measures 197.8 centimeters. And because of it in 2016, he made his way to the Guinness Book of World Records, having the ‘Longest Fingernails on a Single Hand Ever’.
