Shivraj Singh Chouhan Returns As The Chief Minister Of Madhya Pradesh For The Fourth Time

Shivraj Singh Chauhan took oath as Chief Minister for the fourth time on Monday evening at Raj Bhavan in Bhopal. Governor Lalji Tandon administered the oath to him. Shivraj Singh Chauhan has been the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for 3 consecutive times, from 2005 to 2018.

After taking the oath, Shivraj Singh tweeted thanking everyone for their blessings and support. He further said that fighting with Coronavirus is his priority and everything else later.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also tweeted congratulating the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan.

Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda also congratulated Shivraj Singh Chauhan for taking oath as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh. He tweeted that the Bharatiya Janata Party has got an auspicious opportunity to serve the people of Madhya Pradesh today. Whatever was missing in the last 15 months in the service of the people of Madhya Pradesh, we will complete it.

 After this he said in another tweet that I extend my best wishes to our Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan and the state unit of BJP on getting another opportunity to serve the people of the state.

The BJP government will bring every promise of the resolution letter to the ground. This government will be dedicated to the poor, exploited, and deprived, afflicted, women and youth.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan is the 32nd Chief Minister of the state. He represents Budhni constituency in Sehore district.

Outgoing CM Kamal Nath was also present at the ceremony. Kamal Nath resigned on March 20 after 22 Congress MLAs resigned and joined BJP.

The cabinet expansion is likely to happen after the election for the Rajya Sabha elections on 26 March.

About a dozen former Congress MLAs who have joined the BJP is expected to be a part of Shivraj Singh Chauhan’s team.

Soon after taking the oath, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that he would usually go to senior leaders and seek the blessings of his superiors, but due to the circumstances prevailing he is unable to do so now.
