Shah Rukh praised his co-star, saying that it requires a lot of courage and confidence to take up a role of a villain, especially in the Hindi film industry, where heroes don’t usually play bad guys. He also expressed his admiration for him and stated that he would love to play a bad guy himself.

Shah Rukh Khan praised John Abraham’s performance in Pathaan, saying “it takes a lot of guts to do what he has done as an actor and as a star”. He also recalled how the actor was very shy when it came to action scenes, and how he was kind enough to help Shah Rukh look good in body language. The film, which also stars Deepika Padukone, Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana, is set for release on January 25, 2023.
