Samsung is planning for a ‘full-screen’ smartphone with under-display camera

The fascination about thin bezels and more screen is entering into the world of Samsung laboratory which is allegedly working on a device that will support a perfect screen on the front with a hidden camera.

As per Yonhap, Samsung is working on cameras and sensors that can be added underneath the screens of smartphones to create a perfect full-screen device.

The new technology will be built on the Infinity-O display, used on the Samsung Galaxy S10 with a front-hole camera, to provide a full-screen experience.

The company observes that it is not possible to create full-screen smartphones in the next 1-2 years, the idea is to create the technology to a focus where the camera hole is invisible.

Samsung is considering developing the Crystal Sound OLED display which allows the screen to double as a speaker. LG has used technology for its G8 ThinQ.
