Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7: Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series launched last week with the Snapdragon 8 Elite as the exclusive Galaxy SoC, with no mix of Qualcomm and its own Exynos chipsets. Now, the South Korean tech giant is preparing to use the new Exynos 2500 chipset in its next-generation clamshell foldable phone, which is different from the Snapdragon chipset. The Galaxy Z Flip 7 is likely to launch in the second half of this year, but just months ahead of the debut, detailed specifications of the Exynos 2500 have leaked.

  • According to a report by Dutch publication GalaxyClub, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will continue to feature a triple-camera setup.
  • The foldable will reportedly feature a 50MP primary camera and a 12MP ultra-wide camera as the rear sensors. For selfies, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a 10MP front camera.
  • This is the same camera setup as last year’s Galaxy Z Flip 6, which suggests no upgrades in terms of hardware. But Samsung is expected to introduce AI-based camera upgrades for the foldable.
  • The report says that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 may be codenamed B7, while the cheaper Samsung Galaxy Z Flip FE is codenamed B7R.

At the same time, some old leaks have revealed that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 will have a 6.85-inch display and a 4-inch outer screen. The previous Galaxy Z Flip 6 has a 6.7-inch inner panel and a 3.4-inch cover display. Not only this, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 is expected to have an Exynos 2500 series chipset. The company is preparing to make 3 million units of the phone this time in 2025, which is less than the Galaxy Z Flip 6. The decision to reduce production targets comes at a time when phones with the stable label are getting approval for sale this week.

Samsung is also rumored to launch an ‘FE’ model as part of this year’s foldable lineup, apart from launching a tri-fold phone in limited quantities and markets. This could be the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, which will reportedly use the Exynos 2400e chipset. As the name suggests, it will be a more affordable offering than the flagship Galaxy Z Flip 7.
