Samsung has launched the latest Premium Smartphones of its Galaxy Series in the 2017 Unpacked Event organized in New York. South Korean company took curtains from the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 + in this event. Learn what their specifications are:
The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch QHD + Super Amoled display while the Galaxy S8 + has a 6.2-inch QHD + Super Amoled display. The resolution of both of them is 1440 x 2960 pixels. The company has given the name of the infiniti display to the display in it. Both the smartphones have a 12 megapixel dual pixel camera and the front has an 8 megapixel camera.
Both smartphones have Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 processor. The Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Plus have an Octa-core 10nm processor, with four core clocked at 2.3 GHz and four core 1.7 GHz. Samsung has said that different variants of these smartphones will be released in different markets. In some markets, the company will have its own Exynos 8895 processor. In India, variants of this processor can be launched as the company did the same last year too.
Both smartphones have 4 GB RAM. The internal memory is 64 GB and up to 256 GB MicroSD card can be installed. The S8 battery is 3000 mAh and the S8 + battery is 3500 mAh. Both smartphones will have wireless and fast charging support. They can also be connected to the new Gear 360. The company also took the curtain in this event from the new Gear 360. With this device, 360KV can be made at 4K resolution and 15 megapixel photos can be drawn.
Talk about the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 + ks features, it features an Iris Recognition feature. This feature company had also given in Galaxy Note 7, but that smartphone had to be shut down due to battery fire incidents. Iris Recognition is a biometric recognition system that scans the iris to unlock the phone. There are many other things that can be done to verify the Samsung account through this. Both smartphones have a fingerprint sensor on the backside.
Samsung has introduced another feature called Samsung DeX, which allows these smartphones to be used as a computer by connecting these smartphones with user monitors, keyboards and mouse. This feature is similar to Microsoft continent. Like the previous Galaxy flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S8 is also a water registrator, for which it got IP68 certification. Based on both handsets Android 7.0 knot, the company runs on its user interface.
The company also showcased its voice based virtual assistant Bixby in this event. Samsung has launched it with its two latest flagship smartphones. With the help of Bixby, all the work can be done with the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, which can be done by touch. Samsung’s Bikesby will compete with Apple’s serie, Google Assistant, Amjon’s Alexa, and Microsoft’s Cortana. In Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus, there will be some pre-installed apps that will work with Bixby.
Dimensions of the Galaxy S8 are 148.9×68.1x8mm and weighing 155 grams. Dimensions of Galaxy S8 + are 159.5×73.4×8.1mm and weigh 173 grams. The sale of both smartphones will start from midnight on 21st of April. They have been launched in Black, Orchid Gray, Arctic Silver, Maple Gold and Coral Blue Colors. So far, their price and date of launch in India are yet to be ascertained.
