The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to join the existing Galaxy S25 series handsets that were introduced globally in January. The Edge variant will be thinner than the other smartphones in the lineup. Although it is expected to have some similar features as the base, Plus, and Ultra versions, the Edge option is likely to get a smaller battery than the vanilla model. Now, the phone has appeared on a certification site, which suggests that it is likely to have a smaller battery than the Galaxy S25.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Battery Size
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge battery with model number EB-BS937ABY appeared on the UL Demko database with certification number DK-162562-UL. The listing reveals that the phone will have a 3,786mAh battery. This is likely the rated capacity and the handset is expected to ship with a 3,900mAh typical battery.
This is in line with an earlier leak that suggested the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 3,900mAh battery, which is smaller than the 4,000mAh cell that powers the standard Galaxy S25 variant. The Edge variant was earlier spotted on China’s 3C website. The listing claims that the phone will support 25W wired charging just like the base variant.

- The battery specifications reveal a battery capacity of 3,786mAh. It is expected that the launched speaker may come with a 3,900mAh battery.
- If this turns out to be true, the S25 Edge will feature a slightly smaller battery than the 4,000mAh battery that powers the vanilla S25.
- Furthermore, the battery model numbers have also been spotted on the BIS Cert Assets website. No major details have been revealed from this document, but it is a hint at the India launch of the phone.

Ultra-slim and lightweight design
It appears Samsung is focusing on a thin and light design for the Galaxy S25 Edge:
- Thickness: 5.84mm, which makes it 1.46mm thinner than the Galaxy S25+.
- Weight: 162 grams, noticeably lighter than the S25+ (195 grams).
This change in design could make the S25 Edge one of the thinnest Galaxy S-series smartphones ever. The smaller battery is likely to result in a lighter build compared to the S25+.
Dual-camera setup instead of a triple camera system
Unlike the Galaxy S25+, which has a triple-camera system, the S25 Edge is expected to have two rear cameras. While details about the camera sensors are unknown, Samsung may include a high-resolution primary sensor with AI-powered enhancements for better photography. Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and One UI 7 expected
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to share core specs with the S25+, including:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for Galaxy S25
- 12GB RAM for smooth multitasking
- Android 15-based One UI 7
