Samsung Galaxy M16 5G may soon launch as a successor to the Galaxy M15 5G, which was introduced in India in April. The alleged phone has previously been spotted on several benchmarking and certification websites. These listings have revealed some key features of the phone. A recent report shared the leaked design renders of the smartphone, which gives a hint about its design and how many color options it will be launched in. Samsung Galaxy M16 5G design
As far as the design of Samsung Galaxy M16 is concerned, it is expected that this phone may be similar to its older model Galaxy M15. You may see a polycarbonate plastic back in the phone which may be a bit chunky. Android Headlines reports that leaked design renders of the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G have been shared. The phone has sharp borders on its flat sides, while the previous Galaxy M15 5G has rounded edges. Its design resembles many mid-range and flagship phones of Samsung. The phone can be launched in black, green and peach color options.
Samsung Galaxy M16 expected specifications
The left edge of the Samsung Galaxy M16 5G has a SIM card slot, while the right edge houses the volume rocker and the power button, which also doubles as a fingerprint sensor. The phone is expected to have an AMOLED screen with thin bezels, with a thick chin and an Infinity-U notch at the top for the front camera sensor.
The design of the rear camera module also seems different from the existing Samsung Galaxy M15 5G. The alleged Galaxy M16 5G has a vertical pill-shaped camera island that houses three sensors. Inside the camera module, a large slot houses two sensors, while a smaller, circular slot houses the third sensor. There is an LED flash setup placed outside the rear camera module at the top left corner of the panel.
The Samsung Galaxy M16 (model number SM-M166P) has a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC. This chip has two Cortex A76 performance cores with a clock speed of 2.4 GHz and six Cortex A55 efficiency cores with a frequency of 2 GHz. The GPU inside is the Arm Mali-G57 MC2. This setup is more powerful than the Dimensity 6100+ in the Galaxy M15 5G.
