United States Patent and Trademark Office Records

According to the records of the United States Patent and Trademark Office, the trademark registration for Galaxy Glasses covers a variety of gadgets, including headphones, smartphones, smart glasses, virtual reality headsets, and augmented reality headsets.

Companies frequently register trademarks to cover a variety of products so they can experiment with the concept. It is still too early to say the Samsung Galaxy Glass will be a smart glass or a headset.

Galaxy Ring

Samsung has also filed a trademark in the United States for ‘Galaxy Ring’, a wearable smart ring that can track, measure, monitor and upload health, fitness and sleep-related information.

As of now, there is no information if and when the two devices will be available commercially or if they are interrelated or work independently of each other. Yet, given that the trademark applications were made public, it might not be long until Samsung makes the announcement of these products.

The $1,500 Quest Pro virtual reality headset was introduced by Meta in October of last year. Soon after, Apple reportedly jumped in and is developing a mixed-reality headset to compete with Meta’s most recent VR device.
