Salman Khan’s much-awaited film Sikandar released in theatres on Sunday, a day before Eid 2025. However, the film suffered a setback soon after its release as it fell prey to online piracy. However, this did not stop fans from thronging the theatres to see Salman back in action after a gap of two years. The craze among the audience for the film remains the same. Lines started forming outside the theatres and people were cheering loudly on Bhaijaan’s entry.
Sikandar Box Office Collection on Day 1
‘Sikandar’ has collected around Rs 26 crore at the box office on the first day in the country. This is a surprising figure because on Sunday, March 30, a large section of Salman Khan’s fans were away from the theatres due to the last day of Ramzan. Despite this, on an average, 25% of the seats were occupied in all the shows in the theatres.
Salman Khan has returned to the screen after two years, so fans love him for sure. Now Eid is on Monday. After this, Eid will be celebrated for three days. Hence, shows in single screen theatres are housefull even on Tuesday and Wednesday. The production budget of ‘Sikandar’ is Rs 200 crore. Considering the Eid celebrations, it is expected that this film can cross Rs 150 crore by its first weekend.
Lead Actress Rashmika Mandanna Shines in Sikandar
Salman Khan returned to the big screen after one and a half years. His last film was Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which was released in the year 2023. At the same time, through this film, Salman is working with director AR Murugadoss for the first time. South actress Rashmika Mandana, who has given back-to-back box office blockbusters, will also be seen showing her acting skills in this film. This could be her fourth blockbuster film after Pushpa 2, Animal and Chava.

Before ‘Sikandar’, if we talk about Salman Khan‘s films released on Eid and their opening day earnings, the highest was earned by ‘Bharat‘ released in 2019, which was Rs 42.30 crores. After this, ‘Sultan’ released in 2016 made a splash by collecting 36.54 crores on the very first day. The actor’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ released in 2012 with Katrina Kaif also collected 32.93 crores.
