SS Rajamouli’s blockbuster film RRR has been trending on social media since its “Naatu Naatu song” won an Oscar award in the Best Original Song category. People from all over India are feeling proud and praising Rajamouli and his team for achieving this milestone.
But apart from them, there are several people in India who don’t give a damn about the Oscars and our Selmon Bhoi is one of them. In between this RRR Oscar trend, a social media user posted a video of Salman Khan addressing the Oscar awards.

A few years back, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan appeared on India TV’s popular show Aap Ki Adalat. During the interview, a fan asked Salman “why are Hollywood movies better than Bollywood? They can easily make an entry at the Oscars. So, tell me, when are we going to the Oscars?”

In reply, Salman made a very straightforward statement that everyone appreciated. He said, “Oscar unka award hai yaar. Woh unn logon ka award hai, wahaan pe humara kya kaam? Wahaan foreign films jaayengi. Jaise yahaan English films aati hai, toh woh as foreign films aayengi na? Toh Oscars main jaane ka matlab hi nahi hai, main kabhi palat ke bhi naa dekhun Oscars ko.”

After this, the fans of Salman Khan started praising him on the internet. One user said “love from the public is the biggest award. Salman has it.” Another said “Bhoi Never Lies.” The third user said, “Bhoi sometimes wakes up and speaks facts.”
On other hand, there are also many people who don’t agree with Salman’s statement. One wrote, “yes bhoi, Because oscar is not purchasable like filmfare awards.” Another wrote, “Sayad salmon boi ko patah hi nahi hee ki academy award ek globally recognised award hee jo internationally best films ko milta hee. Or kya baat salmon bhai ka baat suuno. Oscar hee unlogo ka award.”
