Save the date as the film based on the life of PM Narendra Modi titled ‘PM Narendra Modi’ is striking the theatres on April 12, a day right after the first phase of voting for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections commences.
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi will be portraying the role in the biography of honorable Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
Taran Adarsh, Indian film critic and trade analyst shared film’s release date on his Twitter account.
He captioned, “Release date finalised… #PMNarendraModi to release on 12 April 2019… Stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in the title role… Directed by Omung Kumar… Produced by Sandip Ssingh, Anand Pandit and Suresh Oberoi.”

The film’s release date will collide with the 2019 general elections that will be taking place from April 11 to May 19. The first phase will cover-up 91 constituencies across 20 states, which includes states, Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, and Chhattisgarh.
The biopic, ‘PM Narendra Modi’ was launched on January 7 in Mumbai by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The biopic went on floors in Modi’s home state Gujarat on January 28. It is being shot at various other places in Delhi and Uttarakhand.
The film will reflect upon the journey of Modi from his gentle beginnings to his years as a Gujarat’s chief minister and finally his historic landmark election as the Prime Minister.
Vivek who has taken a pause from acting has done many Bollywood films like ‘Krrish 3’ (2013), ‘Omkara’ (2006), ‘Company’ (2002) and ‘Saathiya’ (2002).
Including Vivek, the film also stars Boman Irani, Darshan Kumaar, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Zarina Wahab, Akshat R Saluja, Anjan Shrivastav, Rajendra Gupta, and Yatin Karyekar in imporatnt roles.
The biopic will be directed by Omung Kumar, director of some critically acclaimed films like ‘Mary Kom’ and ‘Sarbjit’. Sandip Singh is the producer of this biographical drama.
