Xiaomi has officially launched its new budget smartphone – Redmi A5 – in the Indian market. Entry-level users are targeted with effective features such as the Redmi A5, a 120Hz refresh rate display, 32MP AI dual camera system and a powerful UNISOC T7250 processor. The device also includes a 5200mAh battery, up to 4GB RAM, and three stylish color variants: Jaisalmer Gold, Pondicherry Blue and Just Black.
Redmi A5 Price in India
Xiaomi has given a very competitive price to Redmi A5 in the Indian market, making it an ideal option for budget-conscious buyers. The smartphone is available in two variants: The base model with 3GB RAM and 64GB storage is ₹ 6,499, while 4GB RAM and 128GB storage is available for a high-end version ₹ 7,499. The Redmi A5 will go on sale starting from April 16 and can be purchased from popular e-commerce platform Flipkart, official Mi.com website, Xiaomi retail outlets and offline offline stores across the country.

The Redmi A5 4G phone has a 6.88-inch HD+ display with 1640×720 pixel resolution. This is an LCD waterdrop notch screen that works at 120Hz refresh rate. Its peak brightness is 600 nits. The mobile is blue light certified, which protects the eyes from damage.

For photography, a dual rear camera setup is provided on the back panel of the phone. It has a 32-megapixel main sensor with LED flash which works in conjunction with a secondary AI lens. At the same time, an 8-megapixel front camera is available for selfie and video calling.

The smartphone has a Unisoc T7250 octa-core processor for performance. This is a mobile CPU on 12nanometer fabrications. The phone has been launched on Android 15 ‘GO’ edition. Even with less RAM, the phone works smoothly and the internet consumption is also less. The company is providing 2 years of software update and 4 years of security update with this.

For power backup, the phone has a 5200mAh battery with 15W fast charging technology. Redmi A5 also has a face unlock feature along with a side mounted fingerprint sensor for security. For connectivity, it has 5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. The mobile supports 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio.
