Indian Mobile Congress 2024: India’s biggest tech event India Mobile Congress i.e. IMC 2024 has started from October 15. During this event, Xiaomi in partnership with Qualcomm has introduced a new budget smartphone – Redmi A4 5G. Which will be its first 5G phone priced below RS 10,000.
The smartphone works on Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 mobile platform. This is the first smartphone in India to come with this chipset. Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset is a SoC built on 4nm process. While presenting the phone, the President of Xiaomi India said that the phone will be launched later this year.
Redmi A4: Specifications
- Display: It comes with a 6.52-inch HD+ display that supports 90Hz refresh rate, which offers great visuals for gaming and video playback.
- Camera: The phone has a dual-camera setup at the back, which houses a 50MP primary camera and a 2MP depth sensor, while on the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera.
- processor: Redmi A4 5G is said to be the first smartphone in India to come with Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 processor.
- Battery: It has a 5,000mAh battery with 18W fast charging support, which allows for long usage time and quick charging.
- RAM and storage: The phone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which can be expanded via microSD card.
- Other Features: Connectivity options in this phone include dual 5G SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, and USB Type-C port. Redmi A4 5G runs on MIUI 15 based on Android 14, which brings the latest features. It also has AI-based audio enhancement and supports high-quality video streaming for entertainment.
Redmi A4: Price
Xiaomi has priced the Redmi A4 5G at less than RS 10,000, making it one of the cheapest 5G smartphones in India. Xiaomi launched Redmi A4 5G during the celebration of its 10 years in India. After arriving in India with the Redmi Note series in 2014, Xiaomi has grown very rapidly and the Redmi Note 5 series has become one of their best-selling models. On this special occasion, Xiaomi India President said that their target is to sell 700 million devices in India in the next decade.
