In the 12th edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) season, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) have decided to change their home matches pet-friendly at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
The Franchise of Bengaluru has invited spectators to arrive with their pets at an exclusive pet-lounge or dog-stand named “DogOut” with seating designed for people and canines.
In a statement quoted by RCB, “Royal Challengers Bangalore believes in being compassionate and inclusive. We care about all the fans that are dearly associated with the team. One such group of fans is pet-parents and lovers. Pets are extension of their families and we as RCB would like to make them very much a part of our RCB family.”
The statement further added saying, “Now this year onwards, RCB is thrilled to invite all the pet-parents and lovers to watch home matches with their pets at an exclusive pet lounge called “DogOut” not “DugOut”.
Apart from this, RCB is collaborating with pet care experts Ashita Mathew, Rashi Narang, and Riddima Coelho from HUFT, who will curate exclusionary material around pet nutrition, grooming, and wellness on the new official RCB Application.
On March 23, RCB will begin its journey in IPL 2019 and on March 28, Royal Challengers Bangalore will meet Mumbai Indians at their home ground in Bengaluru.
