3. Zelensky Gives Remark of Battle of the Bulge
President Volodymyr Zelensky compares the Ukrainian soldiers fighting during Christmas in the city of Bakhmut in the Donbas region with US troops fighting Nazis at the Battle of the Bulge during World War II.
“Every inch of that land is soaked in blood, roaring guns sound every hour.The Russians’ tactic is primitive. They burn down and destroy everything they see. The most important part of the address is when Zelensky gifted a battle flag signed by soldiers of Bakhmut to Congress members.
US Vice President Kamala Harris and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi hold that signed flag behind the Zelensky.
He said- “Soldiers gave him the flag to bring to U.S. lawmakers, “whose decisions can save millions of people.”
“So let this decision be taken, let this flag stay with you, ladies and gentlemen. This flag is a symbol of our victory in this war. We stand, we fight and we will win because we are united, Ukraine, America and the entire free world.”
