The news like these is not new anymore. Everyday day to lockdown we hear policemen, health care workers being beaten up for no reason. Aligarh witnessed the same when few policemen stopped the vendors.
The angry vendors pelted stone and one policeman got injured. The incident took place in the Bhojpura city.
Additional District Magistrate R K Maalpani gave the news saying that the policemen asked vendors to close as the break period from 6 am to 10 am was over.
Former Samajwadi Party legislator from Aligarh City Haji Zameer Ullah Khan said,
“The issue pertaining to the timing of selling vegetables has been brewing up in area for the last few days. I feel that with the pressure of the prolonged lockdown mounting, police should adopt a more persuasive approach rather than a confronting one.”
