Chinese tech company Poco is set to launch its first tablet, the POCO Pad 5G, in India on August 23. After making its debut in the global market in May this year, the Poco Pad 5G will soon be available for purchase in India via Flipkart.

The Walmart-owned e-commerce giant has listed the tablet on its platform. It is speculated that the Indian variant will mirror the specifications of its global counterpart. Here’s a preview of what the Poco Pad 5G could have.

  • Along with the Flipkart listing, POCO India’s country head Himanshu informed about the launch of this tablet in India on his social media.
  • This tablet will have a 12.1-inch display with 16:10 aspect ratio, which will have 120Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness.
  • It has a screen with 2.5K resolution and it can also support Dolby Vision HDR.

  • The POCO Pad 5G will come with a large 12.1-inch display supporting 120Hz refresh rate. The display will support 600nits of peak brightness and have an aspect ratio of 8:5. The screen will also have TUV Rhineland triple certification. The POCO Pad 5G has already been launched for the global market.
  • As per the specifications of this tablet available in the Indian and global market, we can expect the tablet to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 SoC, paired with up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage.
  • The tablet runs on Android 14-based HyperOS. The global variant of the POCO Pad 5G also has an 8MP camera on the front and back.
  • It is likely to have a 10000mAh battery with 33W wired fast-charging support. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and Bluetooth 5.2. Its variants are also expected to be the same.

The company has confirmed in an X post that the Poco Pad 5G will launch in India on August 23 at 12 noon. The tablet was teased in blue color with a keyboard and stylus. Notably, the global version of the Poco Pad was introduced in blue and gray shades. The speaker grille, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm audio jack are visible on the bottom edge of the tablet.
