The Union Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has recently announced over 3,100 paid internships in the IT and software development sector under the Pradhan Mantri Internship – PMI Scheme. These internships are being offered in collaboration with top companies in India, which will give the youth valuable experience of working with industry professionals. Also, they will be able to get acquainted with the real business environment.
What is the PMI Scheme?
The Pradhan Mantri Internship Scheme is an ambitious scheme launched under the budget of 2024-25. Through this, the top 500 companies of the country will provide internship opportunities to more than one crore youth in the next five years.

Sectors Covered Under the PMI Internship Scheme

PMI Internship Benefits – Stipend, Financial Assistance & Certificate
According to the ministry, under this internship program, each intern will get a stipend of Rs 5,000 per month. And a lump sum financial assistance of Rs 6,000 will also be provided. Along with this, a certificate will be given on successful completion of 12 months of internship.
