PM Modi Thanks Brazilian People For Sweet Gesture
Before leaving, PM Modi stated that Brazil is expected to keep working to further the Global South’s priorities following India’s successful G20 Summit presidency last year.
“As a troika member, I will be in Brazil for the 19th G-20 Summit. India’s successful presidency last year mainstreamed the Global South’s priorities into the G-20’s agenda and transformed the organization into the people’s G-20.
Brazil has continued India’s tradition this year. I’m excited for deep conversations that align with our mission of “One Earth, One Family, One Future.” His five-day trip to three countries is in its second leg.
About PM Brazil and Other Countries Visit
PM Modi received the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger, the country’s second-highest honor, on Saturday during his first trip to Nigeria. I’m honored to have received Nigeria’s “Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger” award. When Modi accepted the award, he said,
“I accept it with great humility and dedicate it to the people of India.” Guyana will be PM Modi’s next destination. Since 1968, no Indian prime minister has visited the nation before.
