“On Friday morning at around 3:30 am, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother, Heeraba,
passed away at the age of 100. She had been admitted to the U N Mehta Institute of
Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedabad earlier this week due to health issues.
Upon the news of her death, condolences and tributes have been shared.”

rituals at the crematorium in Gandhinagar’s sector 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi
and his family members left the crematorium.

However, due to his mother’s funeral, the Prime Minister’s Office announced that he will be attending these events via video conference after returning to Gujarat.”

Minister Bhupendra Patel also attended the last rites of Heeraba Modi at a crematorium in
Gandhinagar.”
