Spokesperson further said, “The prime minister spoke to Prime Minister Modi this morning to express his regret that he will be unable to visit India later this month as planned.”
The decision was made in the wake of covid situations in UK after a new strain of covid-19 has been figured out. The virus is spreading fast in the country and thus government has put nationwide lockdown recently.
Boris emphasized need of his stay in UK to monitor the situations and take necessary actions to control it. However, Johnson planned to visit India soon before the next G7 summit take place in UK.
